  3. Mix from the beginning with a spatula (spoon) until the dough begins to homogenize. Then knead vigorously for 10-12 minutes (if the dough sticks to your hands, add a little flour).
  4. Put the dough in a bowl greased with oil. Grease the dough with butter on top and cover it with cling film and a napkin. Place it in a warm place for an hour or until it doubles in volume.
  5. After the dough has risen, sprinkle the work surface with flour and turn the dough over. Roll out the dough into a rectangular shape (about 30 cm. Long and 20-25 cm. Wide).
  6. Cut the dough into 6 strips 3-4 cm thick. vertically. After cutting the strips vertically in the middle, cut them in half horizontally (so that 12 strips are received).
  7. Take a strip of dough and roll it around a sausage 3-4 times, then place it on the tray lined with baking paper and greased with oil. Do the same with all sausages.
  8. Cover the rolled sausages with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.
  10. Grease the sausages in the batter with beaten egg yolk and bake for about 25 minutes.
  11. You can eat hot sausages in a dough with mustard, ketchup or whatever you want.

I made Covridogs, 8 pieces and took them to work.
They had a crazy success!

I made pretzels in the evening and my plan was to keep at least one for the next day, to make a more successful picture in natural light. But I liked it so much that I also ate the last pretzel, the proof being the pictures of the recipe :))

I can't even believe that I haven't yet gotten into publishing the sausage recipe in dough that I prepare for my family quite often, being so suitable for the package, for breakfast, a snack or an appetizer. Honestly, I'm not used to making sausages in puff pastry, they seem very heavy and all the fat in that dough seems useless and indigestible in association with sausages. My recipe is with a leavened dough, with a fluffy core and crispy crust, which stays just as soft and pleasant the next day. Another thing I don't plan to do is to dress in sausage dough from those in artificial membrane, only the idea of ​​putting that membrane in contact with the dough and baking it in the oven gives me a headache, so I have to use sausages. in the natural membrane of this recipe. But I've talked enough, let's better wrap some sausages in the dough: P!

For the preparation of the dough: rub the yeast with the sugar in a bowl until it liquefies, beat the egg with the salt with a fork and dilute with warm milk, put the flour in a large bowl, add the milk with the egg in the middle and then the yeast liquefied and knead vigorously until smooth. Add the oil and continue to knead until the dough is smooth, elastic and comes off the hands and the bowl. Put the dough in a bowl greased with oil (picture 1), cover it with a wet kitchen towel or food foil and place it in a warm place until it doubles in volume (picture 2).

The sausages should be taken out of the fridge an hour before dressing them in the dough, so as not to affect the leavening of the dough due to the temperature difference. Once the dough has risen, grease the work surface with oil and turn the dough over.

1. Spread the dough in a rectangular shape and arrange the sausages on top so that the dough can be cut into equal rectangles for each sausage (picture 1). Optionally, you can add a little mustard and / or ketchup on each piece, I prefer to reserve the sauces for serving.

2. On both sides of the sausages placed on the dough rectangles, cut with a pastry roll or with a strip knife from the edge of the dough to the sausage, at a width of about 1-2 cm (picture 2).

3. The strips are successively brought to the middle, covering the sausage, one on the left, one on the right, creating a pattern with the appearance of a braid (picture 3).

4. Place the sausages in a tray lined with baking paper, cover with a napkin moistened with warm water and place in a warm place, turn on the oven and set at 180 degrees.

5. When the oven has warmed up, grease the dough on the surface with beaten egg yolk with a little water (picture 4).

Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes, until nicely browned. Allow to cool and serve warm or completely cold.

They are just as good the next day, but it is advisable to keep them in the fridge, then you can refresh them in the oven for a few minutes.


Sausages in dough & # 8211 a delicious snack

The sausages in the dough are extremely tasty. The recipe I use is very simple. It is prepared from only a few ingredients. If you want to put a delicious snack on the table, you can try this sausage recipe in dough.

Ingredient:

  • 250 gr flour, salt
  • Zahar, 100 ml chefir
  • 1 tablespoon oil, 15 g yeast
  • 70 ml water, 4 sausages, 100 gr grated cheese
  • 2 teaspoons mustard, 30 ml oil for frying

Method of preparation:

In a bowl, mix the flour with a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar. Then pour the kefir and oil. Crush the yeast and then pour warm water over it. Leave the yeast to rise a little, then add it to the flour bowl.

Knead the dough, and add hot water, little by little. When the dough becomes smooth and elastic, cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

On the worktop, sprinkled with flour, spread the dough in a sheet with a thickness of 1.5 cm, grease with mustard, then cut into 4 rectangular shapes, depending on the size of the sausages. In the middle of the 4 pieces of dough, put a sausage, then roll.

Put the oil in a pan, and when it is hot enough, add the sausages wrapped in dough. Bake each sausage for 1.5 minutes on each side.

The flame of the stove should not be too strong, because the dough may remain raw on the inside, although on the outside, it may seem done. After frying all the sausages in the dough, sprinkle with grated cheese and serve. Good appetite and increase cooking!


Sausages in potato dough - Much tastier than the famous pretzel

• 6 boiled potatoes
• 4 sausages
• 2 eggs
• 3-4 tablespoons flour
• 1-2 cloves of garlic
• salt, oil, pepper

1. For starters, grate the potatoes. Add eggs, salt, pepper and mix well.

2. Add the sifted flour and mix well.

3. Wrap the sausages in the previously prepared dough.

4. We put them in flour and fry them in a hot pan with oil. Bake on low heat until nicely browned.

You can serve them whole or in portions. Potato dough is more beneficial than usual, with fewer carbohydrates and calories.
